Trip to Georgia

So the girls and I got to go to Georgia for a week. It was so much fun. It all started off with what could have been a challenging plane ride but wonderfully both girls were amazing and the trip was great! When we first got there Cathy and Kait were there and it was such a treat to get to see them! We all got to go to the aquarium (I didn't get those pictures, sorry) The rest of the week we just spent a good time playing and having fun with Mimi, Pawpaw and Auntie Jenny!

I had a little photo shoot with Kennedi one day while Reagan was taking her nap... She is the happiest baby!!

Todd's First Triathlon

Todd ran his first triathlon on Sunday Oct. 5. It was the most inspiring and amazing thing to watch I can't imagine what it was like to be a part of! But from my point of view this is somewhat of what Todd went through...


First take a moment in all the chaos to take it all in and feel out the water temp....



Stand in a very LARGE crowd of people and prepare to plunge in, swim like crazy for 500 yards because there are people kicking all around you.....




Get to land (very happy about that) and if you were not worn out yet, run to the transition station and get ready for a 13.5 mile bike ride!

Get bike shoes and helmet on as fast as you can in wet clothes and your off....

Once back from the 13.5 mile bike ride jump off your bike...

...put running shoes on as fast as you can, get a quick drink of water....

...and off again and this time for a 3.2 mile RUN!!!!

Finally getting to the finish line...That is a very happy moment!

We are SOO proud of Todd!!! He trained very hard and long for this and I think it was very rewarding!

Eco Challenge

Todd and a few of his friends did an Eco Challenge last weekend. It involved an 11 mile mountain bike ride, 1.25 mile kayak ride and a 5k (3.2 mile run). They did it for fun, not as a race and really enjoyed it. It was a good warm up for Todd's triathlon, which he actually did today (those pictures to come...) The girls and I got to go and see them come in from the bike ride, do the kayak portion and see them off on their run. We later caught up with the small group to see them finish the race.

While we waited for Daddy we got to play and take some pictures of our own.
